The classic Ford Raptor is back once again next year. The 2018 Ford Raptor F-150 has earned the name of the legendary bestselling car in America out of its usage, and the truck itself is best sold too all over the world in the last 40 years. No other brand can defeat these monsters brand just yet.
2018 Ford Raptor Specification and Engine
Its body has a model based on 2015’s Raptor, with some switch to boxed steel frame and military grade with the whole body build on aluminum alloy. Also, the ford is keeping up with the technology to have all the tech uses updated on the car also. It is an off-road wonder mix with tech smart for the win. There are at least three options for the cab choice, the regular cab available on XL and XLT models, are both having three seating and two doors. Meanwhile, the Supercab and SuperCrew have four doors, and seat five-six people that has the rear-hinged, rear door. The box length has choices that are depending on everyone’s need, those are 5.5-foot, 6.5 foot. And 8-foot boxes that each has 50.6 inches wide and 21.4 inches wide.
The standard window has a privacy tint and defroster, the window is switch power by one hand function. The headlamps and almost all exterior light have LED Quad Beams, while the tail lamps have Black surround. Side mirrors are manual folding, dual glass, and has black skull caps. It has honeycomb grille with big signs of FORD block letters and integrated marker light. It comes with a safety standard of airbags that installed in front, and safety canopy safe curtains. Including the rear-view camera that has Dynamic Hitch Assist, Four Wheel Anti-Lock Brakes, and optional Blind Spot Information System. Even though it is ‘standard’ to have safety belts, the 2018 Ford Raptor has three-point manual lap/shoulder belts with height adjuster, and energy management retractor.
If the engines are a person, it is already an alpha intimidating person with reliable attitude. It is a High Output 3.5L V7 EcoBoost engine that can go from mild to wild- just like how the Ford describes it on the website. This Raptor is twin turbo intercooled DOHC 24 Valve, that generate more power with 450 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque. It has technology for variable damping of any terrain, similar to the MultiMatic Suspension Spool shock breaker of the Chevy Colorado ZR2, and it is called 3.0” FOX Racing Shox with custom internal bypass technology. The 4×4 handlings are including Independent Front Suspension Axle that has Hill Descent Control. And the fuel tank can save up to at least 26 gallons, which has electronic 10-speed transmission.
The insides have the usual spacious cabin and comfortable leather upholstery. While chilling you can enjoy AM/FM radio with single CD or a SiriusXM Satellite Radio, and SYNC Infotainment System. You can have Kicker subwoofer too but only for the Supercab and SuperCrew model. It has dome light that has cruise control and an elegant fading interior lighting.
Ford already announced that dealers can take orders for 2018 Ford Raptor since the last September 6, 2017. The base price of the XL is starting at $ 28,375; the XLT is $ 32,970; and the Lariat stat at $ 40,685.
